Job Description

The eBusiness Institute (EBI) is looking for an experienced, well rounded, Media profile to work on Media & Digital Media consulting projects.

EBI is a digital transformation consulting company working with executives from Marketing, Media and Sales, driving organizational changes to support businesses achieve objectives and thrive in an era of rapid changes.

The Media practice at EBI is a very active and with high potential. We have created several projects with our clients, from the development of the new and unique Retail Digital Media practice (Learn more here), to training and capabilities building in media, to dedicated consulting on media strategy, media planning, optimization of collaboration with agencies and much more.

This person will work on specific projects while developing knowledge and structuring the overall media practice into well-defined solutions. The reporting line is direct to the CEO.

Candidate Profile

To strengthen the practice we are looking for a solid media & digital media profile. The ideal candidate has done media strategy work across “traditional” and “digital” media; he/she is able to work with business teams on the client side as well as partner with external agencies (various media types).

He/she is able to do:

  • Strategic media work; media strategy creation, content & channel strategy, media guidelines; set measures and track results
  • Develop and deploy trainings on media, from fundamental to advanced media knowledge
  • Understand the role of creative and what creative excellence means in media
  • Consult on how to optimize media plans across media types
  • Integrate media within marketing and communication plans, define investment priorities
  • Quickly pick up on the Retail Digital Media methodology and consult clients for its implementation
  • Work with clients to define pilot projects to test and learn on new media, new formats, etc
  • Identify opportunities to further improve how clients work, by understanding their gaps and proposing solutions
  • Understand the media tech stack for programmatic and personalization, ideally, lead discussions on how to optimize media stack

The ideal candidate has a mix of business and agency experience, however, candidates with only business side experience might also be a good fit. Extra value is attributed to candidates that have worked with or for retailers as understanding the current media retail environment and being able to discuss media plans with retailers is part of the job.

We expect today’s media profiles to be highly data-driven and able to drive discussions based on KPIs. Experience with programmatic and personalized media is a plus. Experience with working with media technology stacks is a plus.

Due to the nature of the job, the ideal candidate is empathic and understands how to build relationships, educate clients and drive projects forward.  He/she is able to spot opportunities, gaps and, working with other EBI employees, formulate project proposals.

The job is free-location within Europe. Preference will be given to candidates that are nearby well-connected airports to other European destinations. EBI works primarily in Switzerland (Geneva), UK (London), France (Paris & Lyon), Germany (Dusseldorf), Spain (Barcelona).
